Local Earth Day stresses ‘Unity in Community’

The event included activities at The Carroll Wellness Center, a nature hike on the Beaver Dam Trail and other activities. Companies supporting the activities included CWC, Cross Creek Retreat and Hydroponic Farm, Southern States, Twin County Healthcare, Virginia Produce, Cross Creek Cafe and the Fresh Food for Children Project.

This sign’s message seemed especially appropriate Saturday for Earth Day activities held in Hillsville. The sign was one of the many creations on display by NuPath Gifts. The firm’s motto is “Gifts that make a difference.” Proceeds from featured items support special needs. Many of the items are designed/produced by special needs individuals.
