Isaac A. York, Jr. (Babe), 78, of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013. He retired from helping others at the Catawba Hospital with 35 years of service. “Babe” was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend. He made an impact on so many people’s lives that he will be dearly missed by all that knew him. Surviving are his loving wife of 40 years, Anne S, York; daughters, Rose Marie Dorer of Warrenton, Diana DiCarlo of Roanoke; grandchildren, Omar Siddiqui, Feroz Siddiqui, II, Rashan Siddiqui, Andrew DiCarlo, Joseph DiCarlo, Patrick DiCarlo; sister, Mary Miller of CA. along with a host of other relatives and adoptive family. The family would like to thank the nurses on 8 West, the E.R. staff at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, the nurses and staff (especially Miranda) at Springtree Health and Rehab, Pastors, Maurice Pendleton, Butch Memmed and associate Pastor Danny Rippee for all their car and support during this difficult time.
