Elmo Rush Alderman, Sr.
Elmo Rush Alderman, Sr. 84 of Hillsville, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2010 at North Carolina Baptist Hospital. He was born in Carroll County to the late Wyatt Blane & Lila Mae Alderman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Alvin Alderman and sister Willadean (Penny) Nester. He is survived by his wife Margaret M. Alderman of the home; two daughters & two sons and two sisters. Funeral services were Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 2:00 PM with Pastor Max Combs and Dr. Allen Cherry officiating. Burial followed in the Alderman-Clontz Cemetery. Military rites were conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115. A guestbook is available online at www.vaughanguynnandmcgrady.com. Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
