Sylvia Brown Tobler, 72, of Laurel Fork, passed away on Friday, Apr. 10, 2009. Mrs. Tobler was preceded in death by her husband, Orfie E. Tobler; parents, Denver E. and Estella Banks Brown; one son, Richard Edward Tobler; one sister, and one great-grandchild. Surviving are her children and spouses, George (G.W.) Marshall of Meadowview, Barbara T. Akers of Floyd, Debbie and Anthony Quesenberry of Copper Hill, Jeffrey and Kathy Tobler of Hillsville, Candy and Michael Hylton of Laurel Fork; two sisters, Wanda Freels and Nadine Taylor, both of Maryland; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral service were held on Tuesday, Apr. 14, 2009 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin Powell and Mr. Bill Banks officiating.
