Arthur Eugene “Jack” Edmonds, 79, of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Edmonds was born in Carroll County to the late Norman and Fidella Smith Edmonds. Survivors include his wife, Anita Newman Edmonds of the home; daughter, Susan Edmonds Donner of Suffolk, VA; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Becky Edmonds of Dugspur; brother, John Edmonds of Hillsville; sisters and brother-in-law Ruth and Norman Goad and Ardath Bryant all of Hillsville; seven grandchildren, Michael Donner, Jr., John Arthur Donner, Mark Bernard Donner, Stephen J. Donner, Ray Edmonds, Charles Norman Edmonds, and Kyle Dean Edmonds; and great grandchildren, Jack Donner, Alexandra Donner, Harlan Donner, Madeleine Donner, and Mark Donner, Jr. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Twin County Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel at 3:00 PM with Pastor Ronnie Collins officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Grover King Post 1115. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 1:00 until 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service.
