Annie Louise Jackson Lawson age 84 of Fries, Virginia passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011 in the Twin County Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Lawson was born in Virginia on January 18, 1927 to Robert M. and Flora Belle Rash Jackson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jewel G. Lawson; sisters and brother-in-law Dot and Luther Bourne; Patsy Dooley; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Mamie Jackson.

She is survived by a daughter Sharon Lawson of Fries, Virginia; sons and daughter-in-law Gale Lawson; Barry and Mary Ruth Lawson all of Fries, Virginia; grandchildren and spouses Chris and Shelley Goad; Michelle and Kelly Montgomery; Chad and Kelly Lawson; Kendall and Joe Battleson; Syrenia Lineberry; great-grandchildren Tori and Cameron Goad; Kayley and Karlie Montgomery; Brennan and Ashton Tyler; sisters and brothers-in-law June and Roger Weatherman of Ivanhoe, Virginia; Helen Sue and Sanders Neal of Max Meadows, Virginia; Aileen and Glen Ogle of Austinville, Virginia; Jean and Martin Crowder of Ohio; Margie and Harlan Lawson of Fries, Virginia; Sammye and John Lucas of Gibsonville, North Carolina; Jim Dooley of Ashland, Virginia; several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM in the Mt. Hope United Methodist Church with Rev. Randy Morris and Rev. Faye Snow officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the church.
