Carroll County sent its four seniors out in style on Senior Night Friday as the Cavaliers hammered Salem 65-30 in a River Ridge District game in Hillsville.

Seniors Jade Holt, Keely Lundy, Mattie Kennedy and Megan Garland combined to outscore Salem’s team. Holt led the way with 13 points, Lundy scored 11, Kennedy tossed in nine points and Garland finished with four. Lundy and Kennedy have started the past four seasons for Carroll County (16-2, 11-1 River Ridge District) and have led the Lady Cavs to a 74-19 record during that time.

It was another big win Friday as Carroll outscored Salem 22-4 in the first quarter and never looked back. The Cavalier defense did not allow the Spartans to score in double digits in any quarter Friday.

The Cavaliers missed a chance to win at the end of regulation.

Down 62-60 and later 63-60, Carroll missed a pair of chances to tie in the final minute of overtime.
