Cana man charged with DUI, hit and run

A Cana man has been charged with DUI, two counts of hit and run and shoplifting after a three-vehicle accident Saturday in Cana.According to Virginia State Police reports, the accident happened at approximately 6 p.m. on Flower Gap Road near the intersection of Paul’s Creek Road. Daniel Eric Brame, 34, of Cana, was driving a 1999 Jeep Cherokee on Flowers Gap Road when he crossed the centerline and sideswiped two vehicles, a 2006 Nissan operated by Marlie Samuel Jones of Cana and a 2010 Nissan operated by Nikki Cannoy of Lambsburg.

Carroll Co. Soccer Association celebrating 25th anniversary

Without much fanfare, the Carroll County Soccer Association (CCSA) started in 1989 despite very little interest in the sport in the county at that time.Now, 25 years later, the organization’s impact can be seen all over the Twin Counties as several high school coaches in the area were introduced to the sport through the league. Hillsville man charged in Henry County robbery
