Woman airlifted Sunday from Coon Ridge wreck

An out-of-state woman was airlifted Sunday evening following a one-vehicle accident in the Coon Ridge section of Carroll County. The vehicle lost control and ran off the road to the left over a steep embankment on U.S. 52.Rescue crews were working the scene just prior to 8 p.m. Sunday evening.No further details are available at the moment.

Carroll PSA wins federal appeal

Carroll County Public Service Authority (PSA) Chairman Sam Dickson announced Monday that a Federal Appeals Hearing Officer has reversed federal funding agency Rural Development’s decision that the PSA improperly used funds allocated in the Fancy Gap Sewer Project for construction of the Joy Ranch Road sewer line extension.
