According to local law enforcement officers there has been no sign of the two women missing since Friday.

Searches were mounted for Desia Rae George, age 33, of Fries on Friday and Saturday, according to Carroll County Sheriff J.B. Gardner.

“The sheriff’s department, along with Carroll County Search and Rescue, searched around her house, along Iron Ridge and around Byllesby Dam on Friday,” said Gardner. “Saturday, the community of Fries got together at the park and searched any place they thought she might be.”

When George was first reported missing, it was thought she might have an infant child with her, but later the child was found to be with its father.

The other missing person, 15-year-old Desiree Travers, may be in the company of Carlos Enrique Rena, 22, according to Hillsville Police Chief Greg Bolen.

“We, at first, thought we were looking at a runaway, but it’s gotten a little more serious,” he said.

Reyna is wanted on charges of contributing to the delinquency of a minor, but that charge is from a previous incident, said Bolen.

Travers reportedly left her home between 10:30 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday. She is 5’6” tall, weighs 145 pounds, and has brown eyes and hair.

Anyone with any information about either woman should call the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department at 276-728-2251, or the Hillsville Police Department at 276-728-4146.

Why don’t countries like us?
Ever wonder which countries hate the United States the most. We are hated by a lot of countries, but we really can’t help it. We were just born with a strong personality and, quite possibly, a bi-polar disorder. Nevertheless, we are hated, that’s for sure. Either other countries want us to stay ...
