Reid indicted for attempted Capital Murder

A Carroll County Grand Jury handed down 67 indictments Monday to a total of 34 people.

Among those indicted was Marcus Timothy Reid for attempted Capital Murder. According to the indictment, Reid “did willfully, deliberately and with premeditation attempt to kill and murder Deputy B.D. Edwards, a law enforcement officer, for the purpose of interfering with the performance of the officer’s official duties, against the peace and dignity of the Commonwealth of Virginia,” on July 25.

An indictment is not a conviction or indicator of guilt, but rather a citizen jury’s verdict that a prosecutor has enough evidence to proceed with a trial.

Also indicted Monday were: Kristina Danelle Austin was indicted for two counts of shoplifting.

Dennis George Boehm was indicted for shoplifting third offense.

Dana Louise Bolen was indicted for grand larceny.

Edward Dudley Branch was indicted for possession of a Schedule II drug (methamphetamine).

Jared Wayne Rowland Brown was indicted for one count each of statutory burglary and grand larceny.

Ashley Nicole Bryant was indicted for two counts of shoplifting.

David Lee Combs was indicted for obtaining drugs by false pretenses.

Lisa Darlene Dunn was indicted for two counts of assault and battery on a police officer.

Kenneth Ray Elledge, Jr. was indicted for two counts each of forgery, uttering and obtaining money by false pretenses third or subsequent offense.

Justin Anthony Gardner was indicted for assault and battery on a police officer.

Ethan Ridge Goad was indicted for shoplifting third offense.

Brian Christopher Gobble was indicted for abduction.

Breanna Michelle Guthrie was indicted for one count each of conspiracy to shoplifting and shoplifting.

Richard Dale Guynn was indicted for possession of a firearm after being convicted of a felony.

George Albert Harper, III was indicted for grand larceny.

Kevin Matthew Hipps was indicted for conspiracy to shoplifting.

Taylor Blake Isom was indicted for one count each of conspiracy to shoplifting and shoplifting.

Benjamin Steve Keatts was indicted for assault and battery on a police officer and obstruction of justice.

Jamie David Keller was indicted for shoplifting third offense.

Matthew Jacob Kincer was indicted for one count each of statutory burglary and grand larceny.

Joshua Phillip Lewis was indicted for one count each of abduction, destruction of property and assault and battery on a police officer.

Justin Santea Little was indicted for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Ricardo Lopez was indicted for forgery of a public document.

Glen Donald McMillian was indicted for one count each of threaten to burn, possession of a firearm after being convicted of a violent felony, possession of ammunition after being convicted of a felony, and perjury.

Corey Daniel Payne was indicted for two counts each of forgery, uttering and obtaining money by false pretenses.

Brittany E. Rupe was indicted for grand larceny.

Matthew L. Rupe was indicted for grand larceny.

Daniel Wayne Sexton was indicted for one count each of receiving stolen property and obtaining money by false pretenses.

Nathaniel Scott Sexton was indicted for two counts of obtaining money by false pretenses and one count of receiving stolen property.

Vickie Haynes Sizemore was indicted for four counts each of forgery and uttering, three counts of identity theft and one count of petit larceny-third offense.

Ronald Vance Slater was indicted for carnal knowledge of a child.

Toby Lee Vaughn was indicted for escape.

Robert Matthew Whitaker was indicted for malicious wounding.
