Hallie G. Davis of Quinton, Va., age 86, died September 19, 2012, at Memorial Regional Medical Center, Mechanicsville, Va. Hallie was born in Allisonia, Va. on May 26, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Waitmon and Nina Marshall. She was preceded in death by husbands William Henry Whitehead and F. Dale Davis and sisters, Lenna Wood and Beth Forrester. She is survived by daughter Betsy Whitehead Twining and son-in-law Sidney Twining of Quinton, Va., son Jeffrey Whitehead and daughter-in-law Michelle Whitehead of Keyser, WVa., daughter Amy Davis of Garner, NC, sister Patty Terio of Reston, Va., three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Before moving to the Richmond area in 2006, Hallie made her home in Morgantown, WVa. A memorial service will be held noon, Saturday, Sept. 29, at the Hillsville Presbyterian Church, in Hillsville, Va. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to any children’s health charity.
