Ethel Mae Alderman, 88 of Hillsville, passed away on Thursday, Apr. 17, 2008 at Twin County Regional Hospital. She was born in Carroll County to the late William and Iowa Goad Newman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kiley Alderman and a daughter, Delores Smith. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William Fred and Bonnie Alderman and Tommy and Carolyn Alderman all of Hillsville; son-in-law, Perry Smith of Hillsville; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Apr. 20, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel with Pastor Ron Kronk officiating. Burial followed in Monta Vista Memory Gardens.
