According to Carroll County varsity volleyball coach Cindy Edwards, about 80 campers participated in this year's four-day camp. About 20 of the campers came from Patrick County. “We've had good numbers,” Edwards said. “We're really enjoying it and working hard on skills for the younger group.” The camp was for rising students going into grades 3-12. Edwards noted that practice for the CCHS varsity volleyball team will start Aug. 4 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. JV volleyball practice will be held from 3:30-6:30 p.m. that day. Both practices will be at CCHS. She said 8th grade practice will most likely start on the first day of school, Aug. 7. All participants must have VHSL physicals.
