Woman charged after Sunday shooting in Carroll
The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office has charged 47-year-old Pamela Denise Peaks after a shooting Sunday at the intersection of Carrollwood Drive and Carrollton Pike.
According to the press release issued Sunday night by the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Pamela Denise Peaks, 47, has been charged with aggravated malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
At approximately 2 p.m. Sunday, the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office received a call for a possible gunshot wound at the intersection of Carrollwood Drive and Carrollton Pike. When deputies arrived on scene, they found a white male lying on the side of the road with a gunshot wound. The victim was airlifted to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, N.C.
“The condition of the victim is unknown at this time,” the press release said. “The name of the victim will be released once all family members have been notified.”
According to the press release, the investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as the investigation continues.
