An Austinville man has been charged with grand larceny after authorities found a stolen tractor on his property.
According to Carroll County Sheriff J.B. Gardner, deputies received a call of a stolen tractor and other farm equipment Sept. 25 from a home in the Pleasant View community of the county. During the investigation, Sgt. Barry Lineberry developed information as to where the tractor may have been hidden. Lineberry’s investigation led deputies to the property of Douglas Michael Bolen Jr., located on Pine Grove Road in Austinville. A search of the property revealed the stolen tractor, Gardner said.
Bolen, 32, was arrested and charged with grand larceny. Bolen was brought before a magistrate and is being held in the New River Valley Regional Jail, under no bond, Gardner said.
