Four people have been arrested and charged following a breaking and entering Nov. 9 in Hillsville.
According to the Hillsville Police Department, HPD officers were dispatched to 22 High Hill Road on South Main Street in Hillsville on Nov. 9 regarding a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, HPD Officers found doors opened, windows broken, and some items from inside the residency on the carport and driveway. It was also determined that most items from inside were stolen.
“During the initial investigation, evidence found at the crime scene led officers to a nearby residency. Consent was obtained from the owner to search the house, and many of the stolen items were found in the basement,” Hillsville Police Chief Wesley Yonce said in a press release. “This discovery led HPD Officers to another residency in Hillsville where more of the stolen property was located.”
According to Hillsville police, four people were arrested in the incident. Danny Lee Keys, 34, of Hillsville; Justin Lee Quesenberry, 32, of Hillsville; Misty Michelle Dalton, 45, of Hillsville; and Kelly John Driver, 35, of Galax were all charged with breaking and entering, grand larceny, deface/damage property, and receiving stolen goods. All four were transported to the New River Valley Regional Jail on a secured bond.
