A Max Meadows woman has been charged following a two-vehicle accident September 12 in Hillsville.
According to Hillsville Police Department reports, the wreck occurred at 3:40 p.m. on West Stuart Drive in front of CVS. Elisha Fister, 28, of Max Meadows was driving a 1999 Ford Taurus when she pulled out of the CVS parking lot and collided with a 2001 Toyota Tundra driven by Angelica Porter, 17, of Hillsville, according to the report.
Investigating officer Sgt. Stephen Brady charged Fister with failure to yield right of way and for not having insurance. Fister was transported by ambulance to Twin County Regional Hospital in Galax but her injuries are unknown. Brady listed damages as approximately $5,000 to the Taurus Fister was driving and approximately $2,000 to the Tundra driven by Porter.
