Hurricane Harvey dampens milestone Gun Show

Allen Worrell/The Carroll News In what was supposed to be a great weather weekend for the 50th annual VFW Labor Day Gun Show & Flea Market, remnants of Hurricane Harvey reversed course and had other plans. Dismal weather Friday kept most folks away from Hillsville. This photo taken Saturday shows a large crowd despite a chilly and cloudy day. The biggest turnout was Sunday, by far, as the sun finally came out.


Several vendors had special 50th VFW Labor Day Flea Market & Gun Show merchandise to mark this year’s milestone event.
