Morning fire temporarily closes Hardware Bar & Grill

Firefighters start a fan to move smoke out of Pizza Perfect on Main on Friday morning. The first dispatch reported smoke visible from the apartment above the business on North Main in Hillsville before 10 a.m. on Friday. It is believed the cause of the smoke was a fire in a wall. The inside of the Hardware Bar & Grill’s basement door was visibly blackened after the fire was put out. Normal business resumed for Pizza Perfect afterward, but The Hardware Bar & Grill is temporarily closed as an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. Members of the Hillsville Fire Department, Hillsville Police Department and Carroll County Fire Rescue Squad responded to the incident. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
