Three Carroll County men have been charged after a gun was allegedly pulled on a female resident of Training Center Road and she and another person were allegedly assaulted.
According to the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, a Carroll dispatcher received a 911 call at approximately 11 p.m. on Aug. 30 from a resident on Training Center Road stating there was a disturbance at a residence near their house.
“A few minutes later, a female called and stated that she was approached by three male suspects who pulled a gun and assaulted them. One of the suspects left on a bicycle with the two other suspects following behind on foot,” Carroll County Sheriff J.B. Gardner stated in a press release.
Deputy Joe Utt responded to the residence on Training Center Road and spoke with the victims who advised that the suspects had been harassing them for some time.
“On this date, the female victim was driving by them on the road when one of the suspects tried getting into her vehicle and punched her in the face. She was able to get away and drove to her house,” Gardner said. “A short time later, the suspect showed up at the victims’ residence, assaulting the male victim who lived there. The two other male suspects showed up with weapons at which time all three suspects left the scene.”
Gardner said one of the victims was able to identify where the suspects lived. Deputy Utt, Deputy Mark Dickerson, and Hillsville Police First Sgt. Robert Martin went to the suspects’ residence and identified two suspects matching the description given by the victims. The third suspect was later identified outside the residence, Gardner said.
The Sheriff advised that Cody Lee Quesenberry, age 23, of Hillsville was arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery, assault because of a person’s race, and trespassing.
Waylan Leon Pack, age 38, of Woodlawn, and Freddie Gwyn, age 25, of Woodlawn were also arrested and charged with assault and battery, two counts of brandishing a firearm, and assault because of a person’s race, Gardner said.
